Songs That Should Be On Your Workout Playlist [Vol. 2]

Raekwon – Criminology f. Ghostface Killah

I needed another Wu-Tang classic in here. The motivation brought forth by the heavy, hardcore Wu-Tang sound is incredible and nearly unmatchable. At this stage in Rae and Ghost’s career, they were still trying to show their individual worth. This album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx is revered as a hip hop classic led by RZA’s sharp hitting drums and some of the best samples you’ll ever hear.

Apollo Brown & OC – Angels Song

You already know that I needed to sneak the third Apollo Brown beat in here. His drums hit way too damn hard to not be monopolizing this list, this is what his music was made for. Well, not exactly but it’s perfect for the gym. If you’re not getting hyped when the you hear the first kick hits then you have serious issues that may require a trip to a doctor or a psychiatrist to check your sanity. The ominous intro to this song leaves you curious as to what’s to come and when the drums kick in, you know what the fuck it is (Pardon the profanity, teehee).
