I had a really dope introduction to Pivot Gang earlier this summer at a Closed Sessions showcase where the head of Pivot Gang, Saba, headlined the show. Before the show, I checked out Saba’s GETCOMFORTable mixtape and I could easily spot the talent in him, and after his ridiculous set that he put on, he was officially on my radar. Next month, Saba plans to get his Pivot Gang some more shine by releasing a new compilation mixtape titled JIMMY, and today you can listen to this Saba produced & featured track ‘Take 1’, which also features Pivot Gang members MFnMelo & John Walt. Do not sleep on this Westside Chicago collective, because they are bound to blow soon.
