Wake Up & Check Out: God – A New Chicago (Video)

Damn, I’m really feeling this music.

I finally got around to hearing God’s music after getting over my initial skepticism that, I must admit, mostly stems from his name. I didn’t know what to expect when I listened to his music, but it really surprised me once I got around to it. Although his stagename is God, his mixtape is called Bible, and the tracks are mostly inspired/references to the Bible, his subject matter is all about the streets. Best surprise is that this isn’t another drill rapper, and even though his subject matter might overlap with other drill rappers, God has a certain vision and direction for his music that you just don’t see from other drill artists, much less an artist that is just coming up.

His YouTube page is filled with various other videos (that you should  check out — his last video came out a week ago), and his music is streaming on this site. I’m not sure if the music streaming on his site is the official, final release of his mixtape, so I’ll be looking out for that
