Maxo Kream is one of the more promising rappers coming out of Texas right now simply due to the fact that he doesn’t overdo anything that people associate with Texas rap. What’s fascinating about Houston’s Maxo Kream is that he doesn’t have to go out of his way to rep his home — he doesn’t have to make references to trill, lean, or chopped n screwed culture for listeners to understand where he comes from. He’s more throwed than trill.
