In some not so shocking but still pretty damn shocking news, Mac Miller announces via THEFADER that he has signed his label, REMEMBER, under Warner Bros. for a deal worth an estimated 10M. If you remember, Mac revealed earlier this year that he had left Rostrum Records after his contract ended. The deal will allow Miller to sign and develop artists, as well as act as a distribution deal for his future releases and his artist’s future releases. Read the statement below, & also listen to an exclusive song he put out as well.
“Warner is the most independent thinking company I met with,” Miller told The FADER in an email. “It is a partnership and now I can focus on building my label Remember through music and let them handle everything I don’t like doing. Nothing will change in how I do things.” He added: “They have Prince.”
