Last week, Azealia Banks & Teyana Taylor both released their debut retail albums, and the two performed fairly well for the promotion each of them had. Teyana’s debut VII debuted at #24 with 13,354 copies sold. That number is solid for her, and with some potential big singles on the album, the album might do well on the back-end. Azealia Banks released her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste out of nowhere last week, and the album performed well by selling 11,198 copies. One could only wonder how many copies she could of sold if she fit the major label system.
Big KRIT‘s sophomore album Cadillactica was released this week, and the album is set to sell 35-40k copies first week. While the numbers look a bit disappointing, I am not sure if you could of expected a bigger number considering the lack of buzz around KRIT and the album.
