J. Cole only announced his new album 2014 Forest Hills Drive three weeks ago, and without any singles, the album was dropped today. The sales projections are in, and
the album is set to sell 240-270k according to HDD. These numbers may surprise people, and even though the album is set to sell less than Born Sinner‘s first week (297k), the lack of promotion (on purpose) makes the numbers even better.
EDIT: Well, that was fast. HDD is now reporting 2014 Forest Hills Drive is set to sell 320-350k in its first week, with 335-360k in Billboard’s new Sales Plus Streams equation. Shout out to Cole, for real.
