Denzel the Sage, newcomer from the Bleach House creative collective out of Atlanta, releases his debut project, About A Girl, an EP that tells a tale of a young relationship throughout the stages. But this is different, About A Girl is a concoction of different parts of the music spectrum. The bars aren’t lacking either, imagine a young version of Mick Jenkins with a southern-y feel; except there are obvious grunge rock influences throughout. Maybe this is grunge rap?
The EP is a manifestation of the mind of a young 19 year old who’s an outsider of the world around him.
With production from his peers and all in-house features you can almost feel the potential from this kid, and with this being the first of many, I’m ready to watch the potential shine out. The Sage is excited to share his project with the world, and i’m excited to watch him grow.
