Wale ‘The Album About Nothing, Ludacris ‘Ludaversal, & Jodeci ‘The Past, The Present, The Future’ 1st Week Sales Projections

This week, three major urban releases hit stores, and today we have some sales projections for all three albums. Leading the pack and set to debut at #1 is Wale with his The Album About Nothing. The album is set to sell 85-90k first week (90-95k with streams). The album has a strong drop off in first week sales from his last album, but with the lack of promotion and the fact that this might be Wale‘s best album yet should help it in the long run.

Meanwhile, Ludacris‘ 9th studio album Ludaversal is on pace to sell 55-60k first week (60-65k with streams). The album was delayed for a long time until he got his single ‘Good Lovin’ to take off. These numbers are respectable, but his second week sales should be pretty strong as Furious 7 hits theaters at midnight tonight.

Jodeci‘s first album in 20 years dropped this week, and even though the album is solid, the numbers are pretty disappointing. The Past, The Present, The Future is set to move 20-23k first week (22-25k with streams). Luckily for the group, they have a huge history of sales, so once more people catch wave of the album, the sales should keep up.

In other news, Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp A Butterfly is set to move 55-60k in its third week of release, while the EMPIRE soundtrack continues to perform well in stores. It is projected to move another 30-35k copies this week.
