News got out that Apple was not going to pay artists during the three month free trial that the company was offering users for their new Apple Music streaming service launching at the end of the month (June 30), but after Taylor Swift‘s open-letter to Apple about her pulling her album 1989 off the service before it launches because they will not be paying artists, Apple fires back and said that they will be paying artists during the trial. Apple’s Eddy Cue (Can we just call him Eddy Curry?), who is the senior vice president of internet services and information, sent out some tweets last night to confirm it. Although we might not always rock with Taylor’s music, we have to salute her for using her power in the music industry to help out the smaller guys. Salute.
