Cash Money Sues Tidal For Streaming Lil Wayne’s “FWA” Album

On July 4, TIDAL released the official stream for Lil Wayne‘s latest effort FWA. Almost two weeks after the release, Cash Money has sued TIDAL for $50 million according to TMZ. Cash Money is claiming they have exclusive rights for Wayne’s music, although the music was still put out via Cash Money/Young Money Records. They are claiming that the album received ‘tepid reviews’ and it will make it harder to exploit future recordings, and had this to say about the streaming service “a desperate and illegal attempt to save their struggling streaming service.” Lets see where this goes.
