Home News Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’ Goes Platinum & Helps TIDAL Gain 1 Million Subscribers in... Rihanna‘s album ANTI had a very shaky rollout, but it appears as if the album is off to a great start. In the album’s first 12 hours out, the album was certified platinum by the RIAA, due to Samsung purchasing one million copies of the album to give away for free on TIDAL. An important thing to note is that with the first million free downloads, there were one million 60 day trials given away on TIDAL, and their activity has skyrocketed. TIDAL has confirmed that Rihanna‘s album alone was streamed 13 million times in 14 hours. So in a matter of 12 albums, Rihanna got herself a platinum album and helped a company she invested in gain over one million users. Not too shabby. If you haven’t yet, pick up ANTI here.
