St. Louis native Bryssa is definitely an artist to keep a tab on – as her latest track ‘Cloud IX’ showcases. Featuring hazy production and nostalgic vocal elements, Bryssa will be able to stick around in this game if she continues to develop those two aspects with her music. It feels as if she found her style and when an artist finds that out, it’s a huge deal. – malbin

I stumbled upon APSPDR+‘s ‘Bed’ thanks to Soundcloud’s related tracks autoplay feature and the moment I heard the SZA vocals on here, I was sold. Also bringing along Nemo Achida & Moruf, the track all together comes around thanks to APSPDR+‘s deep but threatening production. The drums are heavy and there are some interesting production elements throughout the track. – malbin

Talk about a groovy introduction to a new artist. Sweet Salt links up with vocalist Joe Walker for his new single ‘How Long.’ The single takes you back to the roots of funk, spins it up with a catchy vocal and fast-forwards to the present where it delivers the elements of disco and soul in a new jacket. This is the new age of funk and it sounds great. – malbin

Genra is a new artist working with the dancehall vibe and he is doing one hell of a job with it. His new single ‘I Won’t Leave’ sounds like pure bliss. The vocals on this track are like their own instrument and that’s something that not everybody can accomplish. Genra only has two songs out, so be sure to follow him and watch his page tightly for new music. – malbin

It’s hard to top what The Free did here on ‘Freedom Island.’ Overall, this track just has uplifting vibes and has a fresh, unique sound to it. Imagine a modern day Bob Marley matched with some Kygo production and that is what you have here. Tropical Reggae at it’s finest. – malbin

Angelo Mota has a late night burner on his hands with ‘Dawn.’ The song has some infectious production and a memorable hook that should allow this to live on any of your playlists for this summer. Angelo is only 20 years old and has a Soundcloud full of dope tracks, so make sure you dig more after pressing play on ‘Dawn.’ – malbin

Some great modern day boom bap hip-hop is found here on Akrobatik’s ‘The Ones.’ The production features the great basis of a boom bap beat but has some modern elements to it, making this track stand out from the thousands of other artists trying to make this type of music. Make no mistake – Akro kills this as well. – malbin
