Full Circle has had us gripped to their music since the first drop “El Chapo” earlier this summer. The Toronto rap troupe has kept reasonably quiet, letting the music speak for itself for the most part but they’re opening up more than ever with this new drop. This new release, their third official song as a group is named after the group themselves and it serves as the best introduction to them all.
Full Circle is made up of six members: Jimmy Prime, SAFE, Jay Whiss, Donnie, Puffy L’z & Smoke Dawg. Before Full Circle, each member of the group has been releasing solo music in the bubbling Toronto scene, each to different levels of success. They found another outlet of success here with Full Circle, even in a rap scene that doesn’t seem to value groups like it once did.
They’ve got a tightly knit clique that has Toronto behind them. They’ve been played on OVO Sound Radio so Drake’s manager Oliver El Khatib is certainly hip to the wave and they’ve already released songs produced by Murda Beatz and now Boi-1da. Not to mention all the respect these guys have gained on their own grind, the solo grind. They just found common ground and came together like voltron, a powerful robot made up of some of Toronto’s best up and coming artists. Just like a robot, they’re also pumping out new songs with consistency releasing their third song as a group today.
