Soundcloud Diggin Episode 41 (October 16, 2016)

London’s Tay Salem is hands down my favorite discovery of the week. ‘Palms’ features a chilling vocal performance and show-stealing production that comes together tremendously. This track comes from Tay’s freshly released Night Mill EP, which is definitely worth checking out off the strength of this single alone. Tay is another bright face coming out of London’s bright music scene. – malbin

11:11 has the perfect combination of R&B & dancehall with his track ‘Wild Tings.’ Carrying the Toronto sound throughout the track, this is a great chill track that will definitely be a staple on my fall playlists. The chords and hook on this track are WAY too catchy. – malbin

Oh boy. Zach Taylor is officially on our radar with this track ‘4 Seasons.’ Featuring Wade Hampton & produced by Samurai Del. The track is extremely chill and gives off a vibe of transition away from summer. This feels like a chill late August night. The production on here might be the highlight of the track – featuring just the right amount of bounce over the silky synths. Great job all around on this joint. – malbin

Although this ‘Strawberries’ track by Olivia Raquel feels like an interlude, the track sure seems longer than the 2:10 length. The vocals are the big highlight on here but the loopy, elegant production is not too shabby either. There’s literally nothing else that I can find on Olivia on the internet but I do know that if she continues to develop her sound, she’s going to be a force to be reckon with in the future. – malbin
