Sheesh. Andre Molina has a heat rock on his hands with ‘hmu.’ The production on here is infectiously bouncy. The performance on ‘hmu’ is commendable and really helps carry this track. There are still some rough edges to be refined on here but the potential is there. Keep this man on your radar. – malbin

Baba Ali only has a single track on his Soundcloud page but it’s worth your time. ‘Not Loving You’ is a track that mixes a bluesy delivery with some electronic elements to really create a one-of-a-kind piece of work. The drums on here give this track an infectious tribal pattern to follow and it adds a great layer to the track. I could definitely use a handful of tracks like these for the summer. – malbin

Niko Blue is an Atlanta native who has a really solid cut on his hands with ‘Backyard.’ The airy production isn’t the most unique but it serves as a great soundscape for Niko to really excel with his melodic delivery. There are a lot of artists trying to make this type of music and many don’t succeed in doing it well. Niko definitely does. – malbin

South London resident Caswell is new on my radar but she seems to have her style down. Her latest track ‘Animal’ is an all-encompassing snapshot of her sound – rich, down-tempo, electronic soul production matched with soulful vocals and wise songwriting. Kiri T is a native of Hong Kong who currently resides in Los Angeles. Her debut single got a massive remix from Lucian in 2016 and ended up with 2.5M streams on Soundcloud nearly 4M on Spotify. To follow up that single, she shares ‘I’m Not Here’ – an extremely dark track with a haunting vocal performance. This is not the happiest song in the world but it sure as hell is good. – malbin
