While Israeli singer DONNY has a terrible name for SEO purposes, his new single ‘Too Crazy To Love’ will definitely stand out the second the track starts. ‘Too Crazy To Love’ is a dark, alternative pop single that oozes out emotion from the vocal performance to the hypnotic production. There’s a hint of Reggae on this track, which is a super dope addition to the already outstanding cut. – malbin

Pool Cosby is a production trio who just put out their debut album Blind Gold this past Friday. One of the standouts on the album was ‘A Poem is a Hustle’ and it features the legendary Raekwon. I’m not sure if the Chef spit his best verse on here in years or if the production was so pristine on this cut that he sounded like a god. Either way, this track is a must listen. – malbin

Moss Kena exploded thanks to a fantastic remake of Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘These Walls’ and now her debut single ’48’ featuring Jay Prince is now available. This soulful track is really close to perfection front to back. Every element of this is perfectly crafted and you’ll definitely love yourself for bumping this cut. – malbin

When I listen to music, my ears tend to go straight to the production before focusing in on the delivery and content on the track. When I heard Ruby Francis’ new track ‘Paranoid’ I was directly brought into the storyline on the track. Even though the colorful production stands out, you can’t help but be brought into the brilliant vocal performance on here. This reeks of Odd Future influence and not in the over-the-top, shock factor way. Think Tyler, The Creator‘s colorful production with a vocal performance similar to The Internet. – malbin

Malika is a London based singer/songwriter who has a jazzy new cut titled ‘Run.’ The dark track has a booming vocal performance over some synth-heavy production that really leaves a distinct aura with the track. I didn’t realize when listening but Malika was actually featured on Snakehips‘ All My Friends EP last year, which featured Chance The Rapper, Tinashe, Anderson .Paak, & Tory Lanez. She’s definitely getting some big looks and don’t be surprised if she takes the next step in 2017 if she keeps making songs like this. – malbin

Caswell has a really great track on her hands with ‘Brother.’ Similar to Ruby Francis‘ song, this track brings you in by the captivating vocal performance before you really get drawn into the cinematic, symphonic production. Add this down-tempo track to your late-night playlist before this song ends. – malbin

A late addition to this week’s Soundcloud Diggin episode is adi‘s ‘lost time.’ This track is some classic soulful, jazzy boom-bap with vivid storytelling and a complementary female vocalist on the track. The song is about adi being an Indian immigrant coming to understand who he is. Hip-hop fans are going to have a hard time picking out a bad element to this cut. – malbin
