Santan Dave is back! He dropped his EP Game Over back in November and aside from the cover art being pretty horrendous, the music inside of it was all great. He had a couple slow songs on the EP, in particular being “How I Met My Ex”. The song lasts over 7 minutes and there was not one drum involved. It was just Dave telling a story atop a melancholic piano backdrop. The reason I reference that track because this new one isn’t too much different. “Hangman” features a piano driven beat but it features a bit brighter of a melody and it’s more uptempo. The does also bring in some drums but they’re very subdued. The focal points are the lyrics and then the keys. Go ahead and peep the song above along with its music video.
