If you know me, you know I stan Frank Ocean and I wear that stannery proudly. What I’m alluding to is, Malay, Frank’s go-to producer is the man who produced this song from band Thirdstory. Thirdstory‘s a new three piece outfit on the newly resurrected Verve Label Group, which is a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.
These guys are unique and I don’t know quite how to classify them. There’s elements of a lot genres here. The drums have a hip hop knock to them but there’s flashes of pop, R&B, soul and much more all fused together. Definitely give these guys a listen and if you like what you hear, they have an album dropping on March 8th called Cold Heart.
