It’s been nearly three years since The Internet released their last album. Thankfully, the members of the band have kept us fed with new music. Syd has been busy assisting artists with features and dropping two solo projects. Steve Lacy has released a ton of well received tracks and has produced tracks/projects for Kendrick Lamar, Godlink, Ravyn Lenae, Tyler The Creator, Kali Uchis, & others. Matt Martians has stayed busy with his own solo project as well. Now, the band’s bassist/producer Patrick Paige II is back with his own single ‘On My Mind / Charge It To The Game’.

The double single comes with a great music video and jesus, this record is a masterpiece. Patrick says he wrote the song for his sister, who he had a falling out with after their mother passed. He didn’t know how to talk to her about how he was feeling, so he made this track for her and she has no idea it’s coming out. Syd, Kauri Faux, & Thundercat make contributions on the record and you’ll see the entire band in the track’s music video. This is the first release from Patrick’s forthcoming album Letters of Irrelevance, due out on May 18th.
