It’s been quite a bit since we’ve heard from Daye Jack, a little over a year in fact. The Georgia native gained popularity as an artist pretty quickly as a student at NYU, leading to him leaving school to pursue the music fulltime. He inked a deal with Warner but he has yet to really make it to the next level. He’s readying a new album and getting the ball rolling is this brand new single “Heart Shaped Culdesac”. On first listen I’m liking this a lot. It’s a bright, feel good tune. Take a listen to that below and Daye also put out a quick little documentary with The FADER. He talks about his upbringing and what inspires him to make music in that, which you can watch below. And it all centers around suburbia, a theme of the song as well as the documentary.
