That lane of dark, Toronto inspired R&B stuff isn’t as popular it once was a year or two ago and I actually think that’s a great thing. It created a realm of so many struggle R&B singers that would douse their vocals in autotune and most of it was terrible. With that lessening, it allows for sincerely talented singers like HRTBRKFEVER to take that lane, throw their sound in it and run with it. I can’t stop playing this new song “DNGR” that HRTBRKFEVER cooked up with producer and fellow Floridian G ROUSE. The song’s atmospheric, beautiful and oh so catchy. I’m keeping my eye on both of these dudes but I really think HRTBRKFEVER sounds special. Take a listen below.
