In April it was announced that Polo Grounds Music, the Sony Music joint venture label would be working directly with RCA, another label under the Sony umbrella. Along with that announcement, it was revealed that New York rapper Jay Gwuapo had signed to Polo Grounds/RCA. Jay began to accumulate a lot of buzz alongside Lil Tjay, he’s just dropped a lot less music thus far than Tjay. Jay Gwuapo also has that heavily influenced by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie flow but there’s no denying how well Jay pulls it off. I’m hoping he can naturally trend into a sound a little more his own with time.
