Another victory for Jolly Old England! The mysterious London collective TTY (The The Youth) have released their debut full-length on their Kyverdale Road imprint via legendary UK indie label Young Turks. TTY is comprised of a long list of London artists and in the credits the artist network shouts out notable British names like Jeshi, Milo, Young Turks founder Caius Pawson, Daniel Duke, Deji Okeze, rising star manager Koyejo Oloko, and many more. The project is anchored by shrewd raps, introspective hooks, and almost prophetic interludes courtesy of the group’s original members. Showcasing many different voices and styles, Cry, But Go is an apt display of the ebbs and flows of urban London life. The production is stormy with flashes of brightness and the raps are cloudy but concise. Listen to Cry, but Go below and dive in fully to the world of TTY.
