It’s those acoustic, not trying to do to much songs that really catch me and itha¢a really caught me with this one. This kid’s really built quite the following with such an old school, boom bap leaning sound, which I would’ve never expect. This is the stuff that really made me love rap so seeing a new kid that can make dope, interesting, boom bap stuff is such a breathe of fresh air. But his newest song “groundhog day.” is the rising talent doing something else. He’s harmonizing over an acoustic guitar. No drums, just a heartfelt, catchy song that I haven’t been able to stop listening to. Please listen to all of his stuff but especially “groundhog day.”, his latest song gets me.
