Lenny Burbank has been a favorite of ours since we stumbled upon his chunes last year. He kicked off the year with two singles but went silent until he dropped off this new double single Self Series. It features two songs – ‘Self Control’ and ‘Self Defense’ – with the former being one of the better songs I have heard this year. Burbank’s distinct vocal has always been apparent but the songwriting continues to improve and the lively instrumental really just elevate everything here.
