Fueled by a hypnotic hook and head-bouncing verses, $leazy EZ is representing New Orleans hard on her latest video for “BRAIN WAVES”. Taking a pill with her friends, $leazy kicks off a night of trancelike adventure with her crew as they trip from one scene to the next with no clear path of where they’ll end up. This uncertainty is reflected in the balance between the different lyrical and sonic approaches on the song that create this kind of hazy in-between of the drug’s world. She caught my attention off of the strength of the track, but on a deeper level her ability to combine these elements effortlessly is keeping me excited to see in what other ways she will be able to bridge genres and sounds – making $leazy someone I’m gonna have to keep an eye on.
