The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU is no stranger to academically housing a very talented rapport of students. With plenty of music industry executive alumni and budding stars like Maggie Rogers. And that’s where Stephen Dawes is currently student and he’s no stranger to our pages either. Dawes previously made his debut on a song that he made with two of his peers at Clive. However, today he appears on his own song that he wrote, produced, recorded, and mixed all by himself.
What makes this song special to me is the feeling it evokes due to its cohesiveness. From The uptempo drums, the melody of Stephen’s singing, to the incredible guitar solo. There is not one part of this song I do not like. At a young age of 18, he is a jack of all trades with a diverse skillset, leaving me real excited to see what he does next. Be on the lookout for his next releases because he is only going to get better and better.
