Fusing his Zimbabwe roots with the influence of alt-pop stylings akin to someone like bakar or BERWYN from growing up in Bournemouth, UK and sprinkling a bit of gospel and christian contemporary from his youth on top of it all is what makes up brand new name Blession. Starting as a producer first, the multi-instrumentalist has racked up some credits here and there, such as producing on Henry Verus’ “Your Guilty Pleasure”. Leading to Blession taking a proper stab at being a solo artist and releasing his own music. And that has all just begun with his debut EP ‘CRIMINAL’.
At four tracks, each one shows a different side of Blession. His sultry voice shines through and you catch glimpses of an absolutely gorgeous falsetto on title track “CRIMINAL”, or alternatively he flexes his ability to rap on “ALWAYS”, or alternatively there’s some afrobeats influence shining through on “PRESSURE”. The talent that this man possesses is so clear by just hitting play on one of these songs, so let us put you on, as usual, way too damn early.
