Asha Imuno has done it – he’s finally released his much-awaited album, “PINS & NEEDLES,” the follow-up to his first album “Good News” that we covered back when The Moreno Valley, California native was first releasing solo music in 2020. And thanks to all the work he’s done in the past 4 years since, this new album is a much bigger moment than the first. Singles like “ZIG ZAGGING” & “PERFECT PACE” with Amaria in 2022 stoked the flame before getting into album rollout time with four separate singles off the project spanning from last yet.

Singles like “DID I CALL AT A BAD TIME?,” a fun, bouncy rap-oriented track that showcases Asha Imuno’s skill at gracing a chorus with catchy lyrics and a vibrant melody and “PHONICS” with a feature from Westside Boogie set the tone high for the album to come. Which now that it’s here, we can confirm that it surely does not disappoint, especially with other standout songs like “ALMOST HOME” and “HONEY” featuring bLAck pARty in the mix of the 16-track project.

But perhaps one of my favorite songs on the album is “CLEMENTINE.” The song begins with a voicemail, wishing him a happy 21st birthday, as the now-22-year-old artist sings about distant memories, and his “clementine.” The piano melodies harmonizing with Asha Imuno’s talented vocals create an unforgettable experience for listeners. The song’s nostalgic feel has it stuck in your head for days, reminiscing on good past times. Asha Imuno did his thing on this project and we cannot wait to see him continue along his upward trajectory to becoming a staple among the world of R&B.
