London artist BLUE blends bliss, ecstasy, and rhapsody in her piece “June 30th.” Creating a soundscape of smooth vocals and simple percussion, listening to June 30th feels like purgatory, every verse paints the image of mystery and curiosity. A modern twist on ‘neo-soul’, June 30th can’t be pinned down to a genre space. Subtle comparisons of Erykah Badu and Orion Sun are evident, but it is important to say; that Blue stays true to her own sound in the work.

With her only releases being on Soundcloud, BLUE is somewhat of a mystery. Yet, it is evident that her versatility and artistry are not bound to one sound.
