Alaska Vane somehow manages to encompass mystique, as well as an open-armed aura. In her latest release, “Glistening”– she embodies an ethereal approach to the alt-pop genre, bringing in clouds of hypnotizing, reverb-ed keys, and a mesmerizing vocal performance, as well as showers of vulnerable intensity- creating the perfect storm of a beautiful haunt.

The song weeps, confronts, and reflects- a trio hard to get done in one song. Alaska is no stranger to creating a distinct imagery with her music, and “Glistening” is certainly no exception to her strong creative patterns.

“Glistening” takes you through the ultimate sonic journey- hiking the mountains of vulnerability, and letting the tension go with it’s air-y (but very much thought out) nature. It’s clear Alaska doesn’t skip the details, and devotes as much time into the imagery of her project, as much as the music.
