Tennessee’s Charlee Remitz released her final album under her legal name, and after a bit of a hiatus, relaunched themselves as Blue Monkey in 2024. We recently received “Gleaming” through one of our submission channels, and it definitely stuck out as one of the better folky-pop songs we’ve received in a minute. The stripped production does what it needs to do to let the songwriting cut through, and the chorus here is the real star. With a new album on the horizon for June, we’re intrigued to hear the full set after coming across “Gleaming”.
