While it is always to nice to get context behind a new artist we discover, there’s also something great about knowing nothing about them. Hatchback recently came across our radar from our submissions portal, and we don’t know a single about them. No bio, location, pictures, or anything. Despite that, their song “Pity Party” is easily one of my favorite finds of the year. While their appears to be a slight Mk.gee influence here, the guitar work is incredible, and the glitchy electronic/indie production really cuts through here. The emotive vocal performance really just takes this one over the top. For an artist with under 100 monthly listeners, now would be a great time to lock in your OG ticket.
