Future ‘EVOL’, Wiz Khalifa ‘Khalifa’, & Young Thug ‘I’m Up’ 1st Week Projections

This tracking week has three of hip-hop’s biggest artists release new retail projects, with all three projects just being new additions to the catalog rather then being high profile releases.

Future released his EVOL project – a project originally scheduled to drop in 2014 – on Friday night on DJ Khaled‘s new We The Best radio show on Apple Music. The album is set to debut at #1 with 110-115k copies sold, 145-150k with streams. Not bad for an album only available on iTunes and with one less day then the rest of the field.

Wiz Khalifa released his new project Khalifa this week, and he is projected to move 45-50k albums, 55-60k with streams. These sales are pretty mediocre for Wiz and he may not even crack top five this week.

Young Thug‘s new project Slime Season 3 I’m Up is likely to move 14-16k copies, 17-20k with streams, which may be good enough for a top 10 finish. Check back at the end of the week for official numbers.
