Maxwell ‘blackSUMMERS’night’ & Snoop Dogg ‘COOLAID’ 1st Week Sales Projections

Last week, two legendary artists released their latest efforts at very different stages of their careers. Maxwell dropped off his first album in seven years with blackSUMMERS’night dropping via Columbia Records. Snoop Dogg released his new album COOLAID, a followup to his 2015 release Bush, on his relaunched independent label Doggystyle Records.

The two also have very different sales projections this week. Maxwell is on pace to sell 55-60k (58-63k SPS) first week, while Snoop is projected to move only 7-9k pure albums. SPS numbers are not available for Snoop. Both artists are in different situations, but you’d expect bigger numbers for a legend like Snoop for sure.

In other news, Logic‘s latest release Bobby Tarantino is scheduled to have 20-23k in SPS. The project is not available for sale, so those numbers are purely from streams. Not bad at all.
