Soundcloud Diggin Episode 34 (August 21, 2016)

Production duo The Gifted collaborated with Kossisko for this new track ‘Purity.’ For those who are not familiar, Kossisko used to go by the name 100s. ‘Purity’ is a funky modern-day disco track – featuring bright production and a vocal performance dripping in charisma. Turn this one on at a function and things will be going up in a few seconds. – malbin

Michigan native Daniel Wilson just released his Sinner of the Week EP and we’re highlighting our favorite track ‘Give You Away.’ The vocal performance on this track swooping and really forces you to pay attention right off the bat. Match the vocals with the eccentric production and you have a fantastic record. – malbin

Ashoka is a Philly native who recently dropped a powerful track titled ‘Don’t Go Here.’ The track tackles the issues with police brutality throughout the grimy sounding track. The rapping on this track is phenomenal. When covering heavy topics like this, many artists are overcome with aggression and it doesn’t translate well with the performance. Ashoka did this well. – malbin

12AM teams up with Jez Dior for an infectious new banger ‘Die 4 This.’ The Toronto native effortlessly steals the show on this dark track in a charismatic showing. It’s hard to explain the song any further – you get what you get on this cut. – malbin

We’re already fans of Take A Daytrip, especially through their work with Treez Lowkey but as producer’s they’re heavily slept on. They remixed this song from Cruel Youth titled “Mr. Watson” and while I wasn’t familiar with the original song, I know from the jump that this remix had to be better. The production’s bouncy and eccentric and yet it fits so perfect with the vocals. This is truly one of the best remixes I’ve heard in a while. – Trixx
