Big Sean’s ‘I Decided’ 1st Week Sales

The 1st week sales numbers are in for Big Sean‘s new album I Decided and they are pretty impressive. The album was able to debut at #1 by moving 155,705k copies first week (65,084 in pure sales). While this a minor step back from Dark Sky Paradise‘s first week numbers (173k total, 139k pure sales), if you factor in that this was a digital only release, that makes these numbers even more impressive. Physicals are due out later this month. This is Sean’s second #1 album, fourth #1 rap album, and fourth top three debut of his career.

In other debuts, Sampha‘s debut album PROCESS debuted at #38 with 11,971 units moved (6,450 in pure sales). Syd‘s debut FIN did not have enough streams to qualify for the top 50 on that chart but the album slipped in at #48 with 3,606 pure sales in it’s debut week. Both solid numbers given both artist’s situation.
