Quan had a number of things happen over the past year and half that really hampered his career. He allegedly attacked a bouncer in Miami, had two songs leaked containing lyrics that approved rape, had a video of him smoking weed in front of his two year old son, and was in a lengthy legal battle with his former label Think It’s A Game. Couple that in with the lack of music released (Quan hasn’t released an official project since 2015) and you can understand the difficulties here. Quan eventually won his case and was set free from TIG, which allowed him to ink this deal.
Quan joins Migos, Lil Yachty, & OG Maco as fellow rap artists on the label. Motown seems to be beefing up their urban roster as of late, so don’t be surprised if a lot more rappers start making their way to Motown. Congrats to Quan and his team for the new deal. Now lets get a hit out!
