IDK was one of many deserving names that didn’t make the 2018 XXL Freshman cover. As far as popularity goes, he probably didn’t belong on there but as far as sheer rapping goes and skill, IDK outdoing everyone there by miles aside from J.I.D. Out of angst it seems, IDK made his own XXL Freshman freestyle and called it “Trippie Redd’s Freestyle”. It wasn’t really a shot at Trippie but it was more so that he was taking his spot. Safe to say, IDK tore this down but it was also elevated by the fact that he had an actual beat. The XXL freestyles often feel drier than they are just because it’s so quiet and there’s no beat.
