As the story typically goes, Elizabeth Nichols was just sharing her original songs on Tik Tok and Instagram, steadily building an audience. But everything changed after she hit post on the performance video to “I Got A New One” early last month. The visceral, detailed storytelling of the song and not to mention, her pristinely charming voice really struck a chord with people all over the world.

The Texas born, Nashville based singer/songwriter was already making some inroads and showing her talent off amongst Nashville peers to even just get her songs she’d written placed with other established artists. But especially now, there’s a golden paved road for Elizabeth to drive her own car in her own lane. With 500k+ streams on Spotify alone in a little under a week, there’s no doubt that the song’s just going to continue to grow.
