The indie space is becoming more and more saturated by the day, so it’s always great to stumble upon a brand new artist that is able to cut through the noise. Nashville based artist Mali Velasquez debuted their first ever single this week titled “Tore” and it’s a real stunner. The song has a lush, folk-rooted indie rock sound and Mali’s distinct voice is really the treat of the song. The vocals feel cozy and somber, which play very well into the deeply intimate songwriting. Mali’s prepping to release her debut album I’m Green in October, and “Tore” is one hell of a way to get the rollout started.
