Brent de la Cruz has been delivering mainstream quality for nearly two years, and has been able to navigate his way to amassing over a million streams on two songs with almost no social media use. He is a rare breed in the age where artists almost always have to double as content creators; yet he refuses to give into the norm that was placed in front of him.
His latest track “Alone” takes us on a trip through an ethereal soundscape, and it explores the relationships we have to the people who have made us who we are today. The most important people in our lives tend to come in seasons and this track gives Brent an outlet to appreciate what has come and gone, for better or for worse. Notably, Brent is coming off of scoring the title track for Cara Delevingne’s new Hulu and BBC show, Planet Sex, and is sizing up to drop his first EP since 2021 this year. The release of his project is touted to be late this Spring or early Summer, and it is certainly one that we cannot wait to hear.
