Floating in from Detroit, Michigan, up and comer Sammy Curcuru sits at barely 1k monthly listeners with only two songs out in the world, but you already know that we featured his first release “im down if ur down” on our Fashionably Early playlist. Sammy has managed to build a notable local following at home and in Syracuse where he goes to college, and he is very clearly showcasing the potential his music career ahead of him has. His second ever single “look @ u” makes me want to get up and dance, and has one of the silkiest bass lines I’ve heard in a long time. The single is brought to life by energetic lyrics and visuals, and gives me even more of a reason to believe that success is not a far shout from where he stands right now.
