It feels like a semtex grenade landing right in front of me in Call of Duty the way the production count-in kicks off this absolute banger from 4cf. “losemymind” offers us a glimpse into the sonically combined worlds of hyperpop and hip-hop. 4cf delivers cold bars over a silky bassline with the trademark ‘glitch’ that made us all fall in love with the permeable hyperpop genre.

4cf shares a glimpse into his distorted mind, and shows us how he is struggling to grapple with the overload of emotions he is plagued with. losemymind feels like an even trippier version of the party scene in Euphoria where Zendaya is walking around in a room that is spinning in a full 360, and all that she can see are the dark and purple lights around her. This song brings light to the moments where nobody else realizes what’s going on in your head, yet you could not be struggling more to find your grounding. With this release 4cf manages to blow a breath of fresh air into the scene, and shares one of the most unique takes on the genre I’ve heard in a long time.
