HEART OF TATTERED SCARS, Pt. 2 is one of the most refreshing songs I’ve heard in a really long time. A lot of artists seek to blend genres, but SHADESOFBLUE truly followed through. The track is driven by a simple acoustic guitar, and as the song glides on, there are moments of pure bliss layered across the production like butter on bread. SHADESOFBLUE shares the story of how he’s been damaged almost beyond repair from past relationships, and now that he’s met someone amazing he is finding it hard to accept her love. The song’s a tale of not knowing what you deserve, and it delivers painful imagery of a mind that is battling what may be the best thing for you. The song is apart of a larger EP of the same title (minus the Pt.2), and delivers as every title track should.

I’m not too familiar with SHADESOFBLUE just yet, but after listening to this song it’s a pretty reasonable guess that his music is here to show us every side of the sadness that he has felt in his life. Produced by Dylan Buzzgold this stunner of a track feels like a movie from start to finish.
