Devmaccc
No More

The art of spitting bars has been lost in the noise of viral culture, and “No More” by Devmaccc feels so timeless because it goes against the grain. He didn’t shorten his song to fit the mold of the 2 minute era, and that extension makes for a more rewarding listen once the 3 minutes and 12 seconds are up.

For starters, I feel like I’ve learned more about Dev’s life through this song than I have in some other artists’ entire discography. It’s a classic tale of a troubled come up showing us love and loss, and it’s jam packed with the sense of braggadocio that made us all fall in love with rap in the first place. The production is stellar, the bars are supersonic, and there is not a minute of wasted space. He’s been receiving support from both Fashionably Early and Spotify, and his career is really beginning to blossom.

The track was written on his own and enlists help from Rhaney Daze on production, and it leaves me anxiously waiting for what’s to come next from the Mississippi native.
